Distinguished Achievement Program
The Distinguished Achievement Program is a course of study that requires high performance beyond that usually expected of students in high school. In addition to specific course requirements, the Distinguished Achievement Program requires that all students successfully complete any combination of four advanced measures that focus on demonstrated student performance at the college level or work equivalent to that done by professionals in the arts, sciences, business, industry, or in community service. These measures are judged by external sources of evaluation.
Who are DAP Scholars?
DAP Scholars are senior students who have completed, or will complete, the Distinguished Achievement Program (DAP) graduation plan.

Textbook Adoption and Distribution
The Texas Constitution, Article VII, Section 3, requires that the State Board of Education (SBOE) set aside sufficient money to provide free textbooks for children attending public schools in the state. In accordance with this constitutional requirement and provisions of the Texas Education Code, a portion of the Available School Fund is set aside yearly by the SBOE to purchase instructional materials. The Texas Legislature appropriates funds to be expended on instructional materials. Each class is entitled to the specified quota of materials. Teachers should contact their local district textbook coordinator to order materials.
